Simple, Upfront Pricing
I believe understanding the financial side of therapy should feel simple and straightforward. I’ll provide clear information about fees, insurance, and payment expectations before you get started, so you know what to expect from the beginning.
Individual Therapy
Private Pay: 50-minute session — $50
Insurance: I am currently in-network with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas (BCBSKS) for eligible therapy services.
Payment is due at the time of service
Psychological Assessment
Psychological assessment services are currently offered on a private-pay basis.
The fee for a standard psychological evaluation is $600, which includes: the initial interview, assessment procedures, scoring and interpretation, feedback, a written report, and recommendations.
A $300 initial payment is due at the time of scheduling, with the remaining balance due at the assessment intake appointment.
Private Pay & Accepted Methods
Private-pay: Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise noted.
I accept: Major credit and debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and other approved electronic payment methods.
Insurance for Therapy: Will be billed directly.
Psychological assessment services are currently private pay, with payment arrangements outlined in the Psychological Assessment section above.
Insurance
Soft Landing Therapy is currently in-network with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas (BCBSKS) for eligible therapy services.
When you use BCBSKS insurance for therapy, I will submit claims directly to BCBSKS on your behalf.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, clients who are uninsured or who choose not to use insurance may be entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for scheduled services.
If you are paying privately for psychological assessment services, you will receive information about the expected cost of your evaluation before services begin. The standard fee for a psychological evaluation is $600, with additional charges disclosed in advance when applicable.
If you are using BCBSKS insurance for therapy, your actual out-of-pocket cost will depend on your individual insurance benefits, including any applicable deductible, copay, or coinsurance. Insurance-based services are not estimated through the private-pay Good Faith Estimate process in the same way as self-pay services.

Cancellations & Missed Appointments (Therapy)
I understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule a therapy appointment, I ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice or missed without notice may be subject to a $25 late cancellation/no-show fee. This fee is a private administrative fee and is not billed to insurance.
Exceptions may be considered at the discretion of Soft Landing Therapy LLC for emergencies or significant unforeseen circumstances.
Please note that cancellation and no-show fees are separate from your insurance benefits and do not apply toward your deductible, copay, or coinsurance.
Cancellations & Missed Appointments (Assessment)
Because psychological assessments require dedicated appointment time and preparation, a $300 initial payment is required to reserve your assessment appointment.
Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule, your $300 initial payment will be applied toward your rescheduled appointment. Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to make a change to your scheduled appointment.
Cancellations: If you choose to cancel within 48 hours of your intake or assessment appointment, the $300 initial payment will be retained and is non-refundable. This payment cannot be transferred to a future appointment following a cancellation.
Because assessments require significant time and preparation, repeated rescheduling may result in a conversation about whether moving forward with the assessment is the best fit at that time. Our goal is to ensure that reserved appointment times can be used effectively and that the evaluation process can move forward smoothly.
Policy Exceptions: Soft Landing Therapy reserves the discretion to make exceptions to these policies when circumstances warrant. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.
